Dear experts, I’m urgently seeking help with a question as follows: There is a large tank with a diameter of 16 meters, and the wall thickness varies as follows – it is 11 millimeters thick from 0 to 3.16 meters; thereafter, the thickness decreases by 1 millimeter every 1.48 meters, until it reaches 7 millimeters at a height of 7.6 meters. The total height of the tank is 15.5 meters. I would like to know whether it’s possible to install platforms at heights of 3.7 meters, 7.7 meters, 10.5 meters, and 13.3 meters within such a tank My biggest concern is whether such a wall thickness can withstand the stress Additionally, the platform is mainly used for valve operation and does not bear much weight; its width is 1.4 meters.
