The petrochemical zone and the production technology exchange area are two important sections of HaiChuan. As an assistant to the editorial team, I’ve had the privilege of participating in some of the activities held there. As I delved deeper into these areas, I realized that there are many similarities between them – such as measures to prevent freezing and condensation in winter, as well as exchanges regarding production process operations. This can lead to repeated topics. Hence, I think it would be useful to combine these two sections to some extent and reorganize them. For example, the chemical zone hasn’t been very active; perhaps combining it with other sections would be better. This would also be consistent with the reorganization of the broader petrochemical area. I’d like to hear the editorial team’s opinions on this.

It’s a hypothetical discussion – I suggest merging the “Production Technology Exchange Area” with the “Petroleum and Chemical Industry Technology Exchange Area”. After the merger, the petroleum and chemical industry section will become larger, which can help realize the improvements proposed by the site administrator for this section. Current status of the two zones: The production technology exchange zone seems to have a rather vague purpose at present, while although the petrochemical zone has a clear focus, it fails to attract many visitors. By combining these two zones, they can complement each other and enhance the other sections resulting from the integration of the zones ； Advantages of merging: 1. It can strengthen the management team. 2. It increases the concentration of different topic categories. 3. It is beneficial for creating a premier section. 4. A dedicated area can be set up for discussions on chemical and ethylene-related topics. 5. Combining practical production and operation issues facilitates more in-depth discussions. 6. A separate discussion section for “aromatics and chemicals” can be established. 7. It is useful for developing distinctive sections. Possible problems: 1. Users may need time to adapt. 2. There are other related issues that I have not taken into account
