I would like to ask whether the ratio adjustment can be modified in production. For example, I add water to the system based on the flow rate of the alkaline solution – 2 m3 of water per 1 m3 of alkaline solution. The ratio adjustment system is already in place and being used; I want to adjust it so that 3 m3 of water are added per 1 m3 of alkaline solution. Can this be set up in the DCS? Is it still the case that the ratio regulator in DCS cannot be adjusted via hardware? Does making changes increase costs? Also, what is the ratio adjustment accuracy for single-loop and dual-loop systems? What is the approximate error? Thank you all!
The ratio can be adjusted; it can be modified in the DCS. It is a setting defined by the program, not something related to hardware.

Whether it is single-loop or double-loop, there are no issues with adjustment accuracy or significant errors. Whether it is single-loop, dual-loop control, or more complex forms such as cascade control and ratio control with logic-based gain adjustment, all of these are applied based on the specific process conditions. The actual application effect is also adjustable.
