Switch to a safety engineer

Recently, I received an interview invitation from a solar cell company; I’m supposed to apply for the position of safety engineer there. However, I specialize in pipeline design and have no experience in safety work. Yet I want to switch to working in the field of safety, so I don’t know how to prepare or what aspects I need to focus on. Could anyone give me some advice? Thank you very much!
