How to learn *Siemens PLC

I plan to learn Siemens’ PLC on my own; could anyone recommend two tutorials for me? I’ve downloaded a few from the internet, but they don’t seem very suitable. I would like to know the general steps involved in Siemens PLC programming. We’re using Mitsubishi PLCs nowadays; they seem easy to get started with, and programming is done in ladder diagram format, which is intuitive. Why are the programs in the tutorials I found full of statements? Don’t Siemens generally not use ladder diagram programming? Don’t laugh, thank you.

The simplest way to learn PLC is to find software to install, and then look at some pre-made projects. :-)
