For capacitive level gauges, they are calibrated with water before operation; is it still necessary to calibrate them using the process medium after operation? Additionally, under what circumstances should a capacitive level gauge be used?
Whether calibration with a medium is necessary depends on the parameters of that medium; it depends on whether it is similar to water
It can be calibrated using water. The medium must be conductive when selected.
There are also those that are not conductive, yet can still be measured; it depends on the structure of the level sensor capacitor.
Capacitive level gauges are used to measure continuous signal values; if only a binary signal at a single point is required, a capacitive gauge is not necessary
