Why does installing a diaphragm metering pump easily cause bending of the worm gear shaft? And what’s the reason if there is no pressure buildup?
There is a problem with the bearings of the diaphragm metering pump
The cause is mainly due to the installation of the pump. The worm gear shaft can also bend; that’s really impressive. If the traffic pressure is normal under normal use. Call the manufacturer to replace the pump, or have someone come and fix it. The rest is useless.
Our company has dozens of diaphragm metering pumps, and we have not encountered a situation like yours yet. It is recommended to check the safety valve
OP, where is the metering pump manufacturer located? Personally, I think it’s mostly an assembly issue!
I have never encountered such a problem before; it must be a serious issue. Problems like a damaged diaphragm in a metering diaphragm pump, or damaged inlet or outlet check valves, hardly ever result in issues as severe as what you’re describing. It’s likely an assembly problem – the pressure buildup at the outlet is probably very low; given the extent of the damage, this possibility is almost non-existent
It should be a problem with the metering pump manufacturer; we have never encountered such an issue before
Was it not overloaded when in use?
