What phase diagram? I have drawn the crystal phase diagrams of trichlorobenzene isomers myself. Generally, a pure substance is required; then, based on calculations, the substances are combined in appropriate proportions. Subsequently, the data are measured, organized, and plotted as curves, which constitutes a phase diagram.
Is it a temperature-composition phase diagram? The original poster asked for more details
It is a graph created from solubility data
With temperature and the corresponding solubility, isn’t it possible to create a graph?
It’s not that simple; if the diagrams are not accurate, the results obtained from phase diagram calculations, such as the amount of water evaporated or the amount of substance that precipitates, will differ significantly from the theoretical values. Therefore, it is directly related to the quality of the phase diagrams
My college classmate’s graduation thesis was related to phase diagrams. The experiments were very difficult to conduct; I still remember that there were over ten pages in the book filled with calculation procedures, and that left a deep impression on me. In the end, the phase diagram he drew was completely different from the one in the book.
First, gather information or conduct preliminary experiments to determine how many phases the system has, and then carry out experiments to confirm it
