This industry is characterized by high pollution levels, high costs, and high energy consumption. For this reason, the State Council issued a directive to halt the approval and construction of new polysilicon projects over the next three years. Some small-scale polysilicon manufacturers in the domestic market have relatively high costs and low profits. However, large-scale enterprises that have adopted new technologies are all working to reduce costs in order to earn more profits.
