What is the maximum production load that a rod mill can handle? How large can the adjustable range of its load be?
This production capacity is related to the design capacity of your coal grinder, to the ratio of steel rods used, to the particle size of the feed material fed into the grinder, and to the grindability index of the coal. Therefore, it’s not possible to determine a precise value for the production capacity; however, the operation of each coal grinder stays within its designed capacity range, with the normal load being between 60% and 100%. If the load is too low, more steel rods are consumed, while if it’s too high, the particle size of the coal slurry is affected.
It is generally less than 75 t/h; otherwise, it is difficult to design a suitable foundation for the building.
