In GB50016 and GB50160, the fire hazard classification of flammable fluids is determined based on their flash point. If no relevant data is available for the flash point of a substance, how can its fire hazard level be determined? Please give me some advice! Thank you!
Query the MSDS of the substance; make a comprehensive judgment based on its hazardous properties and flash point – it’s not just the flash point
It can be determined based on factors such as the explosion limit and reactivity
Also, if no information is available regarding the flash point of a substance, it is possible to commission a relevant testing laboratory to conduct tests, and then classify it based on the test results!
It is determined in accordance with the latest standard – GB 261-2008 for the determination of closed-cup flash point. Additionally, based on the relevant physical and chemical properties of the substance, its flammability can be compared with that of gasoline, kerosene, and diesel; thereby it can generally be classified as category A, B, or C……
