Generally, below 80 degrees is acceptable; at 90 degrees, one needs to be cautious. The temperature of the front bearing is generally higher than that of the rear bearing; it is also higher in summer than in winter. In summer, the temperature at the front end of the motor of one of our factory’s units can sometimes reach over 90 degrees. In such cases, we either shut down the equipment or reduce its load, and the temperature usually drops down at night.
80 degrees is a normal temperature; 105 degrees is considered quite high, and an emergency shutdown should be triggered at 110 degrees. Because the oil film will be damaged at this time.
