Functions: Sealing, lubrication, cooling, and flushing. The amount of seal oil is generally adjusted based on the pressure in the pump chamber; typically, the seal oil pressure should be at least 0.1 MPa higher than the pressure in the pump chamber.

There are a total of 7 functions: sealing, flushing, cooling, lubrication, cleaning, shock absorption, and corrosion prevention
The sealing oil pressure in our company is usually around 0.4 MPa. Isn’t the sealing oil applied at the mechanical seal? There shouldn’t be such pressure, right? Could someone experienced give me some advice?
Be sure to dehydrate the fluid before using it as seal oil, as this has a significant impact on pump pressure; in severe cases, the pump can get vacuumed

Operate the mechanical seal in an oil-sealed environment to improve its working conditions: in terms of temperature, absence of impurities, viscosity, etc. Therefore, seal oil is generally used in pumping systems under harsh operating conditions. The pumps that use seal oil in catalytic cracking units mainly include: feed pump, recycle oil pump, and slurry pump.
