Regarding cable selection

There are computer shielding cables, control cables, and thermocouple compensation wires – all of these three types of cables come in both flexible and rigid versions, such as KVV and KVVR. I would like to ask those with more experience: when should one choose the rigid version and when should one choose the flexible version for these three types of cables? Thank you!
Rigid cables are cheap while flexible cables are expensive; of course, there are advantages to the higher price. For example, interference resistance is one of the most important parameters.
In the control room, flexible cables can be used for wiring in the cabinet room, while rigid cables are still required for outdoor wiring.
From a design perspective, it’s better to use flexible wires; they are easier to install and offer better performance compared to rigid wires
For pull-through installation, rigid wires can be used; generally, flexible wires are employed for wiring through conduit at the control cabinet site
