Why don’t some centrifugal pumps have exhaust pipelines at the inlet?

I have five liquid hydrocarbon centrifugal pumps installed; 4 of them are high-speed models. There are no exhaust pipelines at the inlet side – exhaust is only available at the pump body and the outlet. So, when filling the pumps, will the gas in the inlet pipelines be completely expelled? What considerations underlie this design?
Generally, the location of liquid hydrocarbon pumps is lower than the liquid level in the hydrocarbon storage tank; therefore, the gas discharged by the pumps is likely to be the gas generated by the vaporization of the liquid during pumping. Therefore, there is no need to install an exhaust valve at the inlet.
