Safety work is a matter of great importance for the country, enterprises, and the public; while enterprises benefit from it, the greatest beneficiaries should be the employees. Safety work is an essential aspect of development; every accident results in certain economic losses for**, and in this sense, safety work can be said to serve the interests of**. However, when comparing the proportion of losses caused by an accident versus individual losses, the difference is significant. For example, in the event of a work-related death, on a national scale, with over 1.3 billion people, the loss caused by one death is 1/1.3 billion. It’s not an exaggeration to say that this represents a negligible amount. For the individual who suffers the accident, however, that accident means 100% loss. It’s obvious, then, which situation is more serious. Safety work is also an important task for enterprises. To prevent accidents, companies carry out numerous technical and managerial efforts, including staff training, investment in facilities, improvement of the working environment, and continuous strengthening of management systems. This shows just how crucial safety work is for enterprises. But is it really only for the benefit of the companies themselves that they invest so much time and resources in ensuring safety? In the case of a minor injury accident, the loss for a company is in the tens of thousands of yuan, which is a negligible amount compared to the company’s annual economic profits of hundreds of millions of yuan. From a purely economic perspective, the company can certainly consider such losses as less important. But we should realize that every accident results in one or several workers suffering physical injuries, causing irreparable impacts on their lives ； Every accident creates one or several unfortunate families. Perhaps you are not a model worker, perhaps you are not a key technical expert, and perhaps your absence would not have much impact on your company; but for your parents, spouse, children, you are the only one, and any harm to you will affect their happiness. With this in mind, who would still say that safety work is done for the benefit of businesses?
Safety is for everyone, for our families
For whom is safety? It’s probably within sight. Conversely, in today’s society everyone bears a responsibility for safety, from **head of state to ordinary citizens. The beneficiaries of safety are all people in the world. When you are driving at high speed on the road, when you are experiencing the excitement and happiness that come from social progress, you may become a victim or a perpetrator of a traffic accident. Every day, countless innocent people die in traffic accidents, and thousands of families are affected by this. Imagine if there were no traffic accidents – how many people would still be living happily, but unfortunately, they are all on the other side of the world. When a production accident occurs, the enterprise turns into ruins; wealth and human lives are lost in the explosions. Assuming no production accidents occur, how much wealth will the company accumulate? How many people will enjoy the advantages that come with wealth, and how many will be able to live a comfortable life? But the shock wave of the explosion destroyed everything. When environmental pollution and climate change become the most terrifying threats to human survival, have we ever considered that safety is everyone’s responsibility, and that we are also the greatest beneficiaries of safety?

The ultimate goal of safety should be to protect human life.
Safety is for oneself. It’s better for me to ensure my own safety than for everyone else to try to do so.
