Steel cylinders are generally used to store liquid chlorine, with a capacity of one ton per cylinder. It belongs to pressure vessels. 20R is fine.

Liquid chlorine is a yellow-green liquid with a boiling point of -34.6°C and a melting point of -100.98°C; it vaporizes into a gas at normal pressure. Inhaling it can cause severe poisoning, as it is highly irritating and corrosive. When mixed with other flammable gases in the presence of sunlight, it can lead to combustion and explosion. Chlorine is a very reactive element that can react with most elements (or compounds). Liquid chlorine storage tanks generally hold 1000 kilograms, and it is packaged in 500-kilogram steel cylinders. Liquid chlorine cylinders must be externally painted, marked with labels, and stamped with inspection marks in accordance with relevant regulations. Materials for liquid chlorine storage tanks: 16MnDR is used to ensure safety; 16MnR was considered as an alternative. 20R can also be used if dryness can be guaranteed.

Take a look at GB6654-1996 \"Steel Plates for Pressure Vessels\" and GB713-2008 \"Steel Plates for Boilers and Pressure Vessels\": 16MnR has been replaced by Q345R.
16MnDR is a plate designed for low-temperature use, and it is very different from 16MnVR; do not mislead the public
