We have a circuit breaker installed in our dormitory. The load seems to be low, and the wiring is correct – so why does it trip every 20 minutes or so?
In your case, it’s time to check the wiring, as there’s a high possibility that there is some leakage at one of the wires. The circuit trips every 20 minutes or so, and this is due to the characteristics of the leakage site; for example, the resistance at the location of the leakage can be unstable, and local heating to a certain extent causes the leakage current to reach the level that triggers the protection mechanism, resulting in a trip. This requires attention. Another possibility is that the leakage circuit breaker itself is defective; since many leakage circuit breakers are of poor quality, this can also cause such faults. But it’s still necessary to check the wiring issues first. If it’s not possible to identify where the leakage is in the wiring right away, try replacing the switch with one of the same specification; if the circuit breaker still trips, then check the wiring as soon as possible
