Difference between exhaust valve and vent valve
One is located at a high point, and the other at a low point.
A vent valve is generally a piping device used for transporting liquids to allow gases to be discharged, whereas a relief valve is a type of safety device used to release excess of the medium being transported
Exhausting is active, while venting is passive; when there is gas in the liquid pipeline, the resistance increases, and at that point the vent valve opens automatically
The purpose of venting should be to remove gases from the liquid, right?
Vent valves are generally installed at high points, while relief valves are usually installed at the low points of the equipment. Their uses are different.
The exhaust valve is primarily used to prevent air blockages in the pipeline, while the drain valve is used to remove condensate from the pipeline. The choice between these two types depends on the medium transported through the pipeline and its pressure level; generally, forged steel gate valves with socket weld connections are used
The term \"vent valve\" has two meanings: one is to vent the medium in the pipeline during shutdown or maintenance, and it is installed at the lowest point of the pipeline. Another type is a valve that is opened as needed to release pressure. When driving the equipment and adjusting the load, it is common to choose to open the vent valve in order to intentionally release a portion of the steam flow.
