What is the lowest allowable oxygen concentration for Texaco gasification? What are the negative consequences if this limit is not met? Additionally, is unloading pressure typically done in the wash water tank or through flash venting? Could there be any issues with the environmental impact assessment of the gases released during unloading in the wash water tank? It’s a furnace with a pressure of 6.5 MPa. I hope some experts in this field can share their knowledge
The allowable oxygen concentration for Texaco gasification is generally 0.8%; otherwise, safety accidents are likely to occur. When the oxygen content reaches 7%, explosions in the gas pipeline system are very probable, while a level below 7% can easily lead to the formation of peroxides that deactivate the conversion catalysts, causing them to overheat. Additionally, the pressure relief for the lock hopper is usually done either at the wash water tank or at the flash vessel; in our case, it is done at the wash water tank. There are no major issues regarding the environmental impact assessment of the gases released during pressure relief at the wash water tank. I just discussed this technology – it relates to a 6.5 MPa furnace using a multi-component slurry technique.
