I would like to ask what kind of structure the decanters in Radfrac are, and what role they play in the separation process It should be called a decanter when translated into Chinese, right? What is it used for?
It is suitable for separating the second liquid phase; for example, in the distillation of water-containing oils, free water can be separated using this setup on modular trays.
One more question for you: What do 1st liquid fraction and 2nd liquid fraction mean? Regarding the distillation of oil products containing water that you mentioned, is the product from the decanter water? Under normal circumstances, the second liquid is water, so the oil would be the first liquid. Does the stream that enters the decanter contain both oil and water? The 1st liquid and the 2nd liquid are identified based on the key components you specify; the phase that contains a higher molar fraction of these key components is considered the 2nd liquid. It’s not the case that, as you said, \"in general the 2nd liquid is water while oil is the 1st liquid\". Both liquid phases are mixtures of multiple components, but each component is distributed differently in the two phases.
