LJ·J41W-100p is the model of a stop valve on our factory’s flow chart. There’s one thing I don’t understand: what does the LJ before the model number stand for? I would appreciate your advice
The model of the stop valve is simply J41W-100p; LJ is likely just a code, and its exact meaning needs to be looked up, as such codes probably don’t appear only once.
LJ: It might be a code for a device, process, or equipment.
LJ=lap joint, a loose-fitting connection, which may refer to the connection style of globe valve flanges.
This is the manufacturer’s code. Such as Xuanda’s valve XD·J41F46.
The LJ preceding the valve model is either the manufacturer’s code for the valve, or a code or serial number referring to a process, equipment, or specialty mentioned in the drawings
I’m extremely grateful to everyone. I checked after returning, and it indeed refers to the manufacturer’s code – it’s Liangjing Valve Factory. The quality of the valves used in our factory isn’t very good; often, the handwheels and valve stems break
J41W-100P should be: J globe valve, 4 flange connections, 1 straight-through type, W18-8 series stainless steel sealing surface (W indicates a sealing surface that is directly machined from the valve body) – (the number before and after has no practical meaning), nominal pressure of 100, i.e. 10 Mpa; the valve body material is 18-8 series stainless steel
There are numerous methods for labeling valves; some are used to indicate gate valves: G; Stop valve: GL & GD ; Check valve: P & S also comes with national and American standard markings.
