Intrinsic safety instruments have low energy, and motors cannot achieve intrinsic safety protection; they should be of the flameproof type.
No motor is intrinsically safe; explosion-proof or increased-safety motors can only be used in Zone 1 at most
Intrinsic safety equipment refers to devices that limit the energy entering the area, ensuring it is not sufficient to generate sparks that could cause an explosion. But motors definitely require power electricity, and the amount of energy involved is significant; therefore, I’ve never heard of intrinsically safe motors. (However, micro or special-type motors, control motors that require only a small amount of energy to operate, might be able to be made cost-effective.) It’s just a guess.)

I’ve heard that Zone 0 uses motors, and those motors are not intrinsically safe. I think this rumor might be true; the patent holders are willing to take such a risk for some reason. But if serious damage does occur, under U.S. law, no amount of money will be enough to cover the losses.
If that’s true, then such manufactured products must have a large market potential, and it’s certain that developed countries will move to the third world to set up factories there. After all, developed countries **seem not to allow such naked running.
Motors are not allowed to be installed in Zone 0; they must be moved to Zones 1, 2, or a safe area for installation
Intrinsic safety instruments are those used in special applications, usually in conjunction with safety barriers. Low energy, with lightning protection. Surge protection. Features such as high voltage resistance. There is no such thing as intrinsically safe for motors. Generally, an explosion-proof motor, designated as Ex, is used in combination.
