The drive reducer used for the mixer in the barium chloride solution preparation tank (of the direct motor connection type, parallel shaft design) gets damaged after operating for a while following maintenance. What could be the causes? # hcbbs
The mixer assembly is not installed vertically, resulting in eccentric mixing; this makes it difficult for the gears inside the reducer to mesh with each other, or it increases the resistance to mixing
If the mixing rake loses balance, how can it be corrected? Please advise those who know more.
The problems mentioned by the poster are likely related to the design and the manufacturing process by the manufacturer. The design of the reducer does not take radial forces into account; it only focuses on the torque that can be handled. How can it be expected that such a reducer will not get damaged? In mild cases, there may be oil leakage, while in severe cases, the bearings may be damaged; If the stirring shaft is bent, V-blocks can be placed at both ends of the shaft; 3–5 points should be tested between these V-blocks. Generally, for a shaft that is no longer than 3 meters long, the runout in the middle should not exceed 0.1 mm, while at both ends it should not exceed 0.05 mm. After adjusting it according to these standards, the end faces of the stirring shaft flanges can be machined on a lathe using the centers at both ends of the shaft as axes (if flanges are present), and then the work is complete. This is just my humble opinion; please don’t criticize if you don’t like it.
The torque is too high; it’s a design issue as well as an issue with the shaft. If the installation direction is incorrect and causes damage to the bearings, or if the shaft bends, it can also lead to damage to the gearbox.
