This post was last edited by LanDian on 2009-12-10 at 08:53. You—falling in love during college; I—striving hard during college. In college... freshman year: you’re looking at pretty girls while I’m reading books. Sophomore year: you’re on dates while I’m working out. Junior year: you’re enjoying romantic moments under the moonlight while I’m studying hard. Senior year: you’re getting drunk with alcohol while I’m gaining experience in society. After graduation... you carry your diploma around looking for a job, while I prepare to pursue further studies. Not long after... you find a job that allows you to support yourself, while I use the money from part-time work to continue my education. Three years later... you flatter your bosses, while I receive a high salary and am favored by them. You get married, while I start my own business. You think about how to give your children a better life, while I drive around in my LOUTS car. You take time off to attend your child’s parent-teacher meetings, while my wife and I plan how to hold our wedding. You consider taking your family on a trip abroad, while I think about which places I still haven’t visited. You carry bags full of gifts to give to others, while I frown as I watch others bring those gifts back home... You’re criticized by your wife for not being proactive in pursuing opportunities, while my wife reminds me to keep a low profile. In the end, you and your wife separate, while I end up with many descendants and finally grow old. You lie in bed wondering why your health is so poor, while I climb Mount Tai, marveling at my good health. After reading this, I think every young person should take something away from it. Well done—the person who wrote this is truly talented, and those who copy it are even more talented, because they know they need to endure loneliness and temptation to spread this message. Is life really like this? Everyone is welcome to share their opinions……
There are no rules in the life cycle; everyone has their own unique path. If the situations mentioned above occur, one can only become aware of them once they happen. It’s up to us – destiny is in our own hands
Hard work always pays off; keep trying!
Those who perform well in college don’t seem to be many who are truly outstanding. . . . . . . .
However, in real life, those with top grades often work for those with lower grades.
Hehe, that’s idealism I guess. It’s not that many people with good grades in college end up achieving something significant; on the other hand, there are quite a few people who never attended college but still managed to become successful.
In China, these are just fantasies of those who consider themselves to be talented but unrecognized.
The original poster’s post title was “Romance in college,” which I changed to “Two kinds of life.” Sorry, OP! Personally, I believe that if one wants to elevate their life to a certain level, effort and dedication are essential at all times ; But one thing is for sure: it’s easier to improve oneself by starting early rather than later
Study every day*, keep making progress! It’s not a sin to learn well; it is a sin to not learn well!
Complete nonsense, haha; it’s more like an individual case at best
