According to our factory’s plans, an alkylation unit will be built. I would like to write an article on this topic; I was wondering if anyone here knows what the fixed investment for such a unit is Based on this year’s production volume, the amount of residual C4 produced by my MTBE unit is around 50,000 tons; in other words, the processing capacity of the alkylation unit is about 50,000 tons, with an actual annual output of around 20,000 tons. If anyone knows this information, please let me know. Thank you
Can’t it be the same to use the remaining liquefied gas for aromatization in order to produce ultra-low sulfur, high-octane gasoline blending components? Moreover, it requires less investment and there is no pressure related to environmental protection. If you need any information, I can provide it: songligang@gmail.com, 15940841668
Our plant’s isomerization unit was built a long time ago; we don’t know why it just won’t start operating
Has anyone done this before? Looking forward to a reply
What type of heterogenization unit does your plant have? Could you explain it in more detail? QQ976047357
What is the method for an alkylation unit? Is it the sulfuric acid method? If it is the sulfuric acid method, how do you handle your waste acid?
Which is more widely used, the HF method or the sulfuric acid method? If the 50,000-ton alkylation unit uses the sulfuric acid process, does anyone know what the one-time investment would be? Doesn’t anyone know?
The sulfate method for alkylation is widely used, but the waste acid generated limits further development of this process. The investment for a 50,000-ton alkylation plant (sulfuric acid process) is estimated to be around 100 million yuan.
At the current prices, 100 million yuan might not be sufficient; if it only refers to investment in fixed assets within the facility, then that amount should be sufficient, excluding costs such as catalysts, land acquisition, and utility services

Although the hydrofluoric acid method requires less investment and has lower costs, it is less safe. The alkylation processes using ionic liquids and solid acids are advanced but not yet mature, and industrial production has not been seen to date. Sinopec Nanhua Research Institute and Jiangsu Kecor Engineering Design Co., Ltd. jointly designed a waste acid treatment unit, achieving the required performance standards.
