As the title suggests, I would like to ask fellow sailors: how does one calculate the weight of the cylindrical shell part of a storage tank, excluding the head portion? Are there any relevant **standard documents for reference?

No way, can’t this even be calculated? (Diameter ¢ + one plate thickness δ) * pi * one plate thickness δ * length of the cylindrical barrel L * density ρ (¢ + δ) * pi * δ * L * ρ

You can check the weight of the supports in JB/T4712-2007; this standard specifies the weight of such supports. . .
Cylinders can be simplified to steel pipes for easier calculation; there are many Excel templates available for download online, and the process is relatively fast. There are indeed standards for saddles, but saddles manufactured in accordance with these standards are limited in number
