Generally, the inner floating disk is made of aluminum, while the outer floating disk is made of steel. Sometimes the inner floating disc can also be made of steel. But I’ve never seen an external floating disc made of aluminum. The steel ones are in the form of ship cabins, while the aluminum ones are in the form of floats.
If your funding is not a constraint, stainless steel floating tanks are a good choice. Box-type floating pads have high buoyancy, but they are expensive
To add to what was said about the second floor: external floating disks are generally made of carbon steel, while the material of internal floating disks is determined based on the medium stored in the tank. Aluminum is typically used for storing refined oil, whereas stainless steel is used for storing chemical raw materials.
