What is the material of the Texaco shell, SA-387Gr.11C1.2?
It belongs to the CR–MO series of heat-resistant steels, with a foreign grade designation. Although the gasifier shell does not reach high temperatures during normal operation due to its refractory brick lining. However, once the refractory bricks fall off or gaps appear between them, the combustion chamber temperature may pose a challenge.
