Since the liquid level signal here is used for interlock alarms, there is a concern that the interface between dirty oil and water might cause errors. Moreover, since there are aromatic gases above that interface, is it necessary to use a guide wave tube?
The accuracy requirements for level meters at the control level are generally not very high; ultrasonic level meters do not require the use of guide waves
