Representation of weld joints on pipeline single-line diagrams

Generally, on pipeline single-line diagrams (also known as axonometric views), the butt welds between pipes and the butt welds between pipes and fittings are represented by small solid black circles. However, I have now seen a notation in which a cross is placed over these small circles; I’m not sure if this implies something different Thank you.
I really hadn’t noticed that issue; looking forward to the answer
It indicates that the weld joint is a field-welded joint, as opposed to a pre-fabricated weld joint
