12Cr1MoV seems to be used for conveying pipes, while 12Cr1MoVgG is used for high-pressure boiler pipes. Specifically, only experts should know it
12Cr1MoV: Seamless steel tubes for structural use, GB/T 8162-2008. 12Cr1MoVG: Seamless steel tubes for high-pressure boilers, GB 5310-1995. The chemical compositions of these two materials are essentially the same, but their heat treatment processes differ, which leads to differences in their mechanical properties. Here, “G” denotes steel for boilers; the specific chemical composition, heat treatment processes, and mechanical properties are specified in the aforementioned standards.

The standards are different: one is the 8162 standard and the other is the 5310 standard. The version with G involves normalizing followed by tempering on top of the process used in the version without G.
