Generally speaking, the pressure in atmospheric-pressure vessels is relatively low; therefore, the calculated thickness is very small, in order to ensure that such vessels do not suffer from strength failure or instability. Are there any requirements regarding the minimum thickness of such pressure vessels?
It depends on how large the container needs to be and what is being stored in it

Recommendation: By performing a stress analysis using other software, as long as the pressure vessel does not become unstable, there are no major issues. According to the regulations for pressure vessels, the thickness of stainless steel should be at least 2 mm, of course this is after shaping. Considering the negative deviation of steel and surface treatment, 3mm is generally chosen.
Working medium: Propylene (gas-liquid mixture). Design pressure: Atmospheric pressure. Operating temperature: ~40–40 degrees (the outdoor temperature in Harbin); there is 50 mm of rock wool insulation. Volume: 50 cubic meters. The diameter of the container’s barrel section is 2600, and the length of the barrel section is 8400. This makes the question more specific. I was wondering if it would be possible to have some reference materials – so that I can apply this knowledge to similar situations in the future, thus avoiding the need to ask for help from experts

This data is mainly influenced by external pressure, and wind load also needs to be taken into account. Adding about two reinforcement rings should be sufficient; the thickness wasn’t taken into account. Based on experience: 8 mm for the lower end cap, 6 mm for the lower two sections of the cylinder, and 5 mm is enough for the upper part. )
