What should be noted when maintaining the steam drum?

1. The inner wall of the steam drum, the steam-water separator, the feed water tank, the blowdown facilities, as well as the scale, dirt, and rust on the surface of the underwater orifice plates must be cleaned thoroughly. For thicker layers of scale that cannot be removed by flushing, tools such as scrapers or wire brushes can be used for removal, but the inner wall must not be damaged. 2. The scale, sediment, and rust that accumulate within the pressure gauge pipes, sampling pipes, drain pipes, instrument sampling pipes, and level gauge pipes must be thoroughly removed. 3. If the secondary separator is covered with a lot of dirt and scale, it can be removed and rinsed in sections. 4. There must be no cracks on the drum wall, and welds must be free of cracks and other defects. 5. Check that all flared joints and welds show no signs of looseness or leakage, and that the exposed ends of the expanded tubes meet the specified requirements. 6. The fixing bolts of the underwater orifice plate are complete and in good condition, with no signs of loosening; there are no cracks or separations at the welds, and the openings are not blocked. 7. The separation plate is intact and secure; the fixing bolts are in good condition with no loosening, and there is no leakage. The maximum degree of corrosion is no more than half of the original thickness. The location and quantity of the secondary separators meet the requirements specified in the drawings. At the joints between each separator, as well as between the upper and lower vapor barriers of the separators, there should be no leaks; the fixing bolts must be in good condition and fully secured, with no looseness, and the pipes connected to the separators must be unobstructed. 8. The water inlet pipes and surface drain pipes are free of cracks and leaks; the degree of corrosion is no more than half of the wall thickness. The hardness of the water in the feed tank should not exceed 0.5 mm per meter. The outlet should not cause water to spray against the inner wall of the steam drum, and it must remain unobstructed. The flanges must not leak, and all fixing elements must be in good condition.
