Our company is currently facing a serious problem: the main bearing shells or large-end bearing shells of several reciprocating compressors have come loose. All of the compressors are experiencing this issue, including those that have been in operation for the shortest amount of time – around 200 hours, including the 72-hour trial run period for new units. Even the compressors that have been in operation the longest have not exceeded 2000 hours of use.
