Electrostatic spraying uses electrostatic spraying equipment to charge the object being painted with one charge, and the paint sprayed from the paint sprayer has another charge. Since the two opposite charges attract each other, the mist paint is evenly applied to the object. Electrostatic spraying is suitable for the construction of large quantities of painted parts. Generally, spraying or brushing, dipping, and shower coating will cause a lot of paint loss, but electrostatic spraying is almost completely absorbed onto the object, and it is easier to control the thickness of the coating film, and it is uniform, flat, and smooth.
(1) Surface pretreatment, mainly degreasing and rust removal. ? (2) Scratch putty. Apply conductive putty according to the degree of defects of the workpiece. After drying, smooth it with sandpaper, and you can proceed to the next process. ? (3) Protection (also called masking), if certain parts of the workpiece do not require coating, they can be covered with protective glue before preheating to avoid spraying paint. ? (4) Preheating, generally no preheating is required. If a thicker coating is required, the workpiece can be preheated to 180~20℃, which can increase the coating thickness. (5) Spraying, under a high-voltage electrostatic field, connect the powder spray gun to the negative electrode and the workpiece to the ground (positive electrode) to form a circuit. The powder is sprayed from the spray gun with the help of compressed air, which is negatively charged, and is sprayed onto the workpiece according to the principle of opposite sex attraction. ? (6) For curing, the sprayed workpiece is sent to a drying room at 180 to 200°C for heating to solidify the powder. ? (7) Cleaning, after the coating solidifies, remove the protective material and smooth the burrs. ? (8) Inspection, check the coating of the workpiece. If there are defects such as leakage, bruises, needle bubbles, etc., they should be reworked and re-sprayed. ? (9) Defect treatment, repair or re-spray the detected workpieces with defects such as leakage, pinholes, bruises, bubbles, etc. This process has been widely used in the chemical industry, pulp and paper industry, food industry and semiconductor industry.
