I would like to ask everyone: when preparing lead standards, I use (1+1) nitric acid to dissolve lead, but it doesn’t dissolve after a long time, and heating also doesn’t help; I don’t know why I’d like to ask everyone for advice
Try preparing it with lead nitrate: dissolve lead nitrate in nitric acid in a 1:9 ratio
Lead dissolves easily in nitric acid; how could it not dissolve? Is there any brown gas released?
Are pure lead pellets being used? If they are pure lead particles, they can be easily dissolved with dilute nitric acid~~~
Why not purchase elemental standard solutions from the National Standard Center, where they are already calibrated? It still needs to be calibrated even if you adjust it yourself; it’s too troublesome.

Two methods can be used for preparation: 1. Accurately weigh 1.000 g of metallic lead (99.99%), add a small amount of nitric acid (1+1) in stages and heat to dissolve it; the total volume of nitric acid used should not exceed 37 ml. Transfer the solution to a 1000 ml volumetric flask and add water to reach the mark. This solution contains 1.0 mg of lead per milliliter. 2. Accurately weigh 0.1598 g of lead nitrate (high-purity), add 10 ml of 1.0 mol/L nitric acid, and after complete dissolution, transfer the mixture to a 100 ml volumetric flask and add water to reach the mark. This solution also contains 1.0 mg of lead per milliliter
