Do large storage tanks fall under the category of non-standard equipment?

I would like to ask everyone: for the most common steel vertical cylindrical storage tanks, there are HG standards and standard drawing sets available – so why are they still referred to as non-standard equipment? What does “non-standard” mean in everyone’s understanding?
For large storage tanks, each time they are to be used, process calculations and strength calculations must be carried out anew based on the actual medium being used, the operating pressure, the operating temperature, and the environmental conditions, followed by the creation of relevant drawings
It’s non-standard equipment; the key point is that it cannot be produced in batches.
I seem to have read in a book that large storage tanks are considered pressure vessels, and should be designed in accordance with the standards for steel pressure vessels and steel welded atmospheric pressure vessels
There are standards for manufacturing strength and welding, but no uniform size specifications or requirements for accessories. Generally, the customer provides information such as the medium to be used, volume, and operating conditions, after which the manufacturer designs the equipment in accordance with the guidelines for steel pressure vessels and steel welded atmospheric pressure vessels. Once approved by the customer, the equipment is manufactured; alternatively, the manufacturer may engage a design institute with appropriate design qualifications to prepare the drawings, which are then used for production. Such equipment does not have uniform size specifications or accessory requirements, nor can it be produced in batches following a fixed pattern. It is not manufactured in accordance with any unified industry standards or specifications issued by authorities, but rather is designed and manufactured according to the specific needs of its intended use. Equipment whose appearance or performance is not listed in the official equipment catalogues is referred to as “non-standard equipment”.
Non-standard equipment refers to devices that fail to meet **relevant manufacturing standards, or those that zwar meet such standards but were not designed, manufactured, registered, or inspected in accordance with the relevant procedures. Non-standard equipment – in my understanding, this refers to equipment that is not standardized and cannot be produced in bulk; it is equipment that needs to be redesigned and manufactured according to the client’s requirements, rather than being purchased as ready-made units.
Whenever it is used, it must be customized again based on the actual medium in use, the operating pressure, the operating temperature, and the environmental conditions.
