I have a question regarding the design of a steam drum; I’m not very familiar with steam drums. A steam main enters the drum and splits into two streams; one of these streams has a larger flow rate, accounting for 70% of the flow rate from the main steam pipe, while the other stream accounts for 30%. How can this type of distribution be achieved?
By using connectors of two different sizes and calculating the flow area, it should be possible to do this
It can be done with simple adjustment of the outlet valve.
Adjusted using nozzles of two sizes and an outlet valve
