There is a sedimentation tank with a diameter of 5.2 meters; the upper cylindrical section is 4 meters high, and the lower conical section is also 4 meters high. The weight of the equipment, including the steel supports, is approximately 9 tons, while its operating weight is around 100 tons. A channel steel support ring is placed below the junction of the conical and cylindrical sections to support the entire equipment. Six supports are arranged evenly beneath this support ring; each support is about 2.8 meters tall. It is planned to use steel pipes or H-shaped steel for these supports. Which type is more suitable – steel pipes or H-shaped steel? What size should be chosen? Thank you!

I personally prefer to use H-shaped steel; I plan to use 6 pieces of 200X200 size, with diagonal braces installed on each piece to support them against the channel steel frames. Is that okay?
There must be a basis for this; one cannot rely on guesswork.
