What type of pipeline steel is used for low-temperature methanol washing towers?
What was said upstairs refers to panels! If it’s a pipe, SA333 would be more appropriate; the specific grade depends on the temperature

I recommend using duplex stainless steel 2205. (1) Corrosion-resistant, especially resistant to localized corrosion. (2) Its high strength is twice that of ordinary austenitic steel, allowing for thinner equipment and cost savings! (3) It has good weldability. (4) It has high strength and corrosion resistance, thus it is resistant to surface erosion. I think it’s more suitable for a methanol scrubber
We use 304L stainless steel
SA333 definitely won’t work; the low-temperature impact rating seems to be around -46°C, and it appears that 316L is used in most cases
Low-temperature carbon steel ~0Cr18Ni9 ~304
Different materials are used depending on the system pressure and temperature; for scrubbers, we use SA203 Gr.E and SA350, for T2T3 we use 0Cr18Ni10Ti, and for the rest we use 16MNR
316L can be used; it depends on the temperature control you have in place.
