Jinxi Petrochemical Design Institute has great experience in carrying out this kind of work. I’ve seen a viscosity reduction unit designed by them; it’s quite simple – it consists of one heating furnace, two reactors, and a simple distillation tower for separating light oils.
You can find professors in relevant fields at universities; the postgraduate students will prepare the plans, which will then be reviewed by the professors. Universities specializing in chemical engineering have the qualifications to carry out design work, and their costs are lower than those of design firms. Our 300,000-ton project was commissioned to a science and technology university for development.
Shandong Jilian Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. is currently designing the largest viscosity reduction facility in China (1.3 million tons per year)
It is recommended to turn to Qingdao Huadong Design Institute; they have extensive experience in the design of visbreaking units. Several visbreaking units in the Liaohe region were designed by Huadong Institute. Our unit with a capacity of 150,000 tons is quite similar to your unit with a capacity of 100,000 tons.
