If the flange needs to be replaced on-site, it is necessary to measure certain parameters of the flange – how do those measurements are taken?
Flanges usually have markings indicating diameter, pressure, material, and type of sealing surface
2# wangruding: I saw the master measuring diameters; several values were taken. Should the diameter of the bolt also be measured? There’s another issue regarding pipe fittings – I still don’t understand terms like nominal diameter, outer diameter, and inner diameter. We need to create a maintenance plan, but I lack experience in this area. Please give me some guidance
Flange bolt hole center circle diameter, flange sealing surface type, flange thickness, flange outer diameter, nominal pressure, material; Make sure to get the first two items, then consult the manual – that way you can identify the valve you need, hehe! Manual, check the manual. HG20592-97~HG20635-97 ; Take a good look, and you’ll understand; from now on, flange will be easy to handle ; There is also another type called a flanged flange, which is custom-made and used in single-flange level gauges; it is sometimes employed as well to prevent material buildup at the equipment’s pipe openings. Special attention should be paid to the bolts used with this type – double-headed bolts are the best choice, haha!
Flange diameter, pressure rating, connection type, sealing surface type, and flange standard are all that’s needed.
If there are valves, pay attention to their diameter, pressure rating, connection type, seal surface type, center distance between eyes, and bolt diameter. Just check the corresponding flange standard again. If connecting to equipment, be careful to distinguish whether the pipe diameter is metric or imperial.
:)Come and learn a bit; I hope the experts won’t be modest and hide their skills – show them off instead
Flange diameter, pressure rating, flange standard
Flange material, pressure rating, diameter, flange face sealing type; the material and diameter of gaskets may also need to be considered
The most important factors are the flange connection method, the material of the flange, and the pressure rating; other dimensions can be found directly here
Share my opinion: 1 Measure the external dimensions: diameter, thickness; 2 Measure the connection dimensions: number of bolt holes, size of the bolt holes, type and size of the sealing surface ; 3 Go to the office to check the relevant standards and then decide on the materials.
