In Aspen HYSYS V7, when designing a distillation column, it is no longer just Step 4 – there is an additional step, which is the selection of the type of reboiler for the distillation column. There are three options: once-through circulation, circulation with baffles, and circulation with both baffles and a heat exchanger. After choosing the type of circulation, it is also necessary to select the type of reboiler, which comes in two forms: a heater or a heat exchanger. I’m quite confused about this; I hope someone can help explain what all these options mean and how to make the right choices
