It should be the self-compensating effect of pipes, which is beneficial for storage and transportation, right? Hehe
Simply put, it is a expansion joint used to eliminate the stress in pipelines caused by thermal expansion and contraction. The steam traps on the heat tracing pipelines in our equipment often break down; either no water flows out, or both water and steam flow out together. It’s really annoying.
Only a few of the heat tracing wires in my device are designed this way; the pipes associated with the chemical addition lines are relatively thin. I’m not sure what requirements there are for this design – please let me know if you know. In what situations is this design suitable?
