Heat pump process of a simulated distillation column. The top condenser and bottom reboiler cannot be set to none. What should we do in this situation? I’m using the radfrac model – is the module selection incorrect? How can the condenser and reboiler be removed and replaced with heat exchanger modules for simulation calculations?

Radfrac can be used to simulate absorption towers, and both the condenser and reboiler can be set to none. It’s possible that your other parameter settings are not suitable for scenarios without a condenser or reboiler; what was mentioned on the second floor probably refers to the extract model
