Is the calculation of flanges used when installing piping? Such as quality, strength of the joint surface? I’ve been in this field for only a short time; I would appreciate any advice from those with experience in piping work. Thank you!

Standard flanges should be preferred; calculations as mentioned by LZ are only necessary when non-standard flanges are used
