Problems with reactive distillation

In reactive distillation, it is necessary to enter the reaction equation; if there is no reverse reaction, is it also required to enter the equation for that reverse reaction?
I don’t understand why we need to consider whether to enter a response that doesn’t exist ? ?
If no reaction occurs, there’s no need to enter anything!
Enter as many reaction equations as actually exist; of course, there’s no need to enter any for those that do not exist
