What kind of sealing gasket is better for fiberglass pipe flange? F4 gasket is easy to leak, and the rubber gasket is easy to be extruded. How to deal with it?
We still use rubber pads for FRP pipe flanges. For problems that are easy to be extruded, we generally use flat flanges, and then process 2-3 water lines on the end face to increase friction.
PTFE coated packing mat, anti-corrosion and not easy to leak.
It is better to use rubber, but the strength should be moderate, otherwise not only the gasket will be easily extruded, but the flange will also be easily damaged.

This post was last edited by Big Head on 2009-12-28 01:23. The flanges of the glass pipelines in our factory are concave and convex. They use PTFE gaskets. If they are flat, use PTFE-coated asbestos gaskets.
