When using this condensate system, it must be put into use slowly and pay attention to cutting more water. Severe water hammer indicates that the operator did not cut the water well during the putting into use process.
The main problem of water hammer is that the temperature difference between steam and cold water in the pipeline is too large. If the pipeline is not used continuously, just disconnect it and leave a small area for heat tracing. If it is not used occasionally, add a water trap or a circulation device. Basically it solves your problem.
Just shorten the distance of the condensate drainage pipeline and lower the height of the drainage pipeline.
If the location is too cold, first reduce the steam transmission volume, and then drain the liquid directly from the diversion system in time. Usually, you can open the diversion on the pipeline a little to drain the condensate in the pipeline in time, because the drain is also prone to freezing in winter.

You can try the following methods: Add an upward facing exhaust valve to the pipeline upstream of water hammer. I agree with what was said above. This is a steam condensate pipe, not a steam pipe. How about installing a trap? Find a place to open the drain and properly control the condensate recovery speed.
Another point to add is that the drain should be used when the pipeline pressure is less than 6 kg, otherwise the drain will rupture due to high pressure.
